Hermie Esguerra, the man behind Makisig TV, is chairman and CEO of the Herma Group, a Filipino-owned group of companies. Hermie’s real name is Herminio.
He started out his business in 1985. Since then, his hands-on management style and dedication, allowed his business to grow in volume, territorial scope and diversity. His business interests in petroleum, maritime, ship repair and shipbuilding and environment were sustained since then.
Recently, he developed a passion for sports, like horse racing and horse breeding, among others. In due time, his attention was channeled to the business side of it. Wanting to share his enthusiasm for sports, he and his close friends (who include former ABS-CBN top gun Jake Madarazo) thought of establishing a cable channel dedicated to men who enjoy this type of recreation and more.
Truly, Hermie has a way of translating his passion into action. This time around, what started out as a personal hobby is seen in every home through the Makisig TV programs. |
